Your Bible question was:
> > Is it a sin to commit suicide?  If so, where may I find this info. in
the
> > Bible?

Suicide is "self-murder," and as such is not an action of love (cf. Matt.
22:39; Rev. 21:8).  Suicide reveals a state of utter hopelessness in the
mind of the person who actually carries out this action.

Christ and His gospel offers "living hope" to Christians (1 Pet. 1:3-5), but
He also expects us to obey His will (Heb. 5:8-9).  We can cast our cares
upon Him and He will lighten the load (Matt. 11:28-30; 1 Pet. 5:7).

When one man was ready to commit suicide, thinking all was hopeless, the
apostle Paul told him to "do yourself no harm" (Acts 16:28).

From all this I conclude that suicide is against the will of God and wrong
in His sight.  Naturally, the Lord will judge the mental state and capacity
of all - including those who take their own lives (2 Cor. 5:10).  He will
judge righteously, I have no doubt (Rom. 2:3-5).

The gospel gives the living a way of escape from taking one's life.
