Scripture Reading: Revelation 20:11-15

You Are Not the Judge

Intro.

1.  The Father has committed all judgment to the Son, Jno 5:22; Acts 17:30-31; Rev 20:11-15.

2.  We must honor Him as the Judge of our lives by yielding to His will over us, Col 3:17.

3.  “You are not the judge” is heard from those unwilling to submit to the authority of Jesus. Matt 7:1 (2); Jno 7:24

  a.   Vain defense of this thinking: "I’ll work out my own salvation” (Phil 2:12). Contradicts 2:13.

  b.   But we cannot do that correctly unless we conform to the Judge’s judgments!

  c.   The NT tells us how Jesus will judge us, Jno 12:48-50.

  d.  We must prepare ourselves for judgment!
