Your Bible question was:
>    Where in the Bible can I find out how to know what God's will is for me
> and where can I find scriptures regarding finding or asking on God's
calling
> in my life? How do I find out what God is asking me to do for him now that
I
> am saved?

The Bible says that we are to implant the word of God deep into our hearts
and look into it (God's word) to improve ourselves spiritually (Jas.
1:21-25; cf. 1 Jno. 2:3-6).  So, we are taught to diligently study God's
word so that we can properly handle it and be approved by God (2 Tim. 2:15).

Consider Acts 2:42:  These new Christians continued stedfastly to learn the
apostles' teaching and to obey it in their lives.  This is my encouragement
to you.

Read Romans 6, which tells us how we are united with Christ (by being
baptized into His death), how we choose to put away sin and thus become a
servant of righteousness.

Read Colossians 3, which is a wonderful passage on the Christian life.

God calls us through His word, not through "still small voices", feelings
and emotions, or other such subjective ways (cf. Heb. 1:1-2).  Faith comes
by hearing the word of God (Rom. 10:17), so if we are to strengthen our
faith, we must come into closer and closer contact with His word.
Colossians 3:16 says that we are to "let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly in all wisdom...."  2 Timothy 3:16-17 says that all scripture has
been inspired of God and profits us for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction and for instruction in righteousness -- so that we may be
complete in Christ and equipped for every good work.  We must learn the word
of God if we are to live for God!

So, I urge you to spend time with the Bible.  Learn to use it properly.  My
suggestion is that you begin by reading Luke and then follow up with Acts.
These two books, written by the same person, will give you a good background
for your faith and an understanding of the early church.  Then, read 1 & 2
Thessalonians and James, three of the earlier books written in the NT.

These are just suggestions, but I hope they will encourage you to learn
God's word so you can thoroughly do His will.

Sincerely,
Joe Price
